<3.
I'm really interested in what inspires you. The "whoever happens to happen across this page and feels inspired in one way or another" you. I want to invite you to email: whatareyourinspirations@gmail.com, and submit a poem/song/picture/video/anything that you find inspiring. However you interpret that. And please share this with others. I look forward to seeing what unfolds... [Your name will be included with your submission, unless otherwise noted.]

A smattering of sprinkles
Over the last few weeks, I have come across countless nougats of inspiration online. Whether a song, an article, or a clip from a tv show, they help me do the following:
1.) take a break from my life, and think about all the amazing things happening in the world.
2.) believe in the power of humanity-- all the strong, creative, good-hearted people that are living right now, creating change, or just spreading joy.
While I recognize the importance of facing the hard realities of our world, it also feels important to me, as a social work student, to seek out the hope, joy, and inspiration present in our world. This motivates me further in my work, while also helping me personally to feel more alive and hopeful in my life.
So, after showering my facebook wall with an inordinate number of posts, I realized I needed to create a space that could be devoted to these moments of inspiration-- a collection that people could visit, and hopefully feel the same sort of uplift that I feel when looking at them...and in that way, bring some hope and inspiration to peoples' lives everywhere.
And with that, I give you my blog!
So, items that I came across this week (not necessarily published this week, but I happened to find them/enjoy them this week):
A story of humanity and social work.

A moment of heartfelt "Glee."

An upcoming star.

And finally, an intelligent young man who speaks some important truth.
